A temporary gel in full controversy. The US State Department announced, on Saturday August 16, to put its medical visas as a parenthesis for Palestinian refugees from the Gaza Strip, The time of an investigation. The reason for this decision: the campaign launched by Laura Loodor, influencer Maga and close to Donald Trump, alerting to the arrival of Gazaouis close to the Islamist organization of Hamas.
The young woman announced on Friday that she had denounced to Republican parliamentarians the arrival in the United States of inhabitants of the Palestinian enclave who “Work for pro-Hamas Islamic organizations (…) affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood and funded by Qatar”. Laura Loomer has targeted Heal Palestine, an association organizing trips to the United States for medical reasons of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
“I spoke with the team of Senator Tom Cotton (president of the intelligence committee, editor’s note) and she looks at how these Gazaouis obtained a visa for the United States”she wrote on her X account. “It is truly unacceptable. Someone must be fired from the State Department when Marco Rubio Saura who approved these visas ”claimed Laura Loomer. The influencer also accused the “Qatar, our enemy, not our friend”to have “Sent these Gazaouis to the United States via the Qatar Airways company”. Before asserting: “They literally flood our country with jihadists”.
Randy Fine, elected to the House of Representatives for Florida, also denounced a visa policy “Unacceptable” and promised “Cooperate with the competent authorities to seek immediate expulsion” of these Palestinians.
At the end of July, after a denunciation of Laura Loomer already, the Pentagon had canceled the hiring of a high civil servant as a professor at the prestigious West Point military school. The influencer had assured that she did not bear that people appointed under the Biden administration obtain positions under that of Trump.
