The Minister of Culture Rachida Dati will travel to Morocco from Sunday, 16 to Tuesday, February 18. The objective of this displacement is to strengthen the dynamics of cultural cooperation between France and Morocco. The minister will speak with the authorities and local elected officials in Laâyoune and Dakhla.

Rachida Dati will in particular inaugurate a French institute in this first city. At the end of her trip, the Minister will carry out bilateral interviews in Rabat with members of the Moroccan government. She will be around her counterpart Mehdi Bensaïd on partnership projects in the field of culture.

2 – Jordan Bardella continues his dedications

The president of the RN, Jordan Bardella, continues his Tour de France as part of the permanent campaign of the National Rally. After a visit to Gironde last week, the MEP will go this Saturday, February 15, in Castres this Saturday, in Castres in the Tarn for a signing session of his book What I’m looking for (Fayard).

On January 24, on X, Jordan Bardella informed his subscribers that his book sold at least 200,000 copies. The current German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and his competitor of the Christian Democratic Party Friedrich Merz will compete this Sunday, February 16 for a second and last television duel around 8:15 p.m. This debate will take place a week from the legislative elections launched by the implosion of the coalition – known as tricolor fire – in power.

For the moment, polls are extremely favorable to Friedrich Merz, which has almost 30 % of voting intentions. It is followed by the German anti-immigration party, AFD, led by Alice Weidel and supported by Elon Musk, who would collect 21 % of the vote at this stage. Olaf Scholz’s SPD party would only harvest only 16 % of the voting intentions. During the first televised debate between the two men, Olaf Scholz had multiplied the attacks, while the opposition chief remained calm in front of his opponent. They had largely exchanged on migration policy and the economy.

The 78th British Academy Film Awards (or BAFTA) ceremony will take place this Sunday, February 16, 2025 in London. These last two feature films combine twelve appointments and eleven nominations respectively.
