Emmanuel Macron will go to Brussels this Thursday, June 26 to participate in the European Council, which will end Friday, June 27. European leaders will meet in order to debate geo-economic challenges and the evolution of conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East. Defense, European security, migration and preparation will also be on the agenda.
From tomorrow, European heads of state will debate the way of continuing to support the efforts made to obtain peace in Ukraine. To date, the EU has provided nearly 150 billion euros to the country led by Volodymyr Zelensky, including 50.8 billion euros in military support.
Regarding the Middle East, the leaders of the European Union will in particular look at the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the climbing which destabilizes the region. They will also debate the situation in Moldova and the country’s membership process to the EU, with a view to the first UE-Moldavie summit, which will be held in Chișinău on July 4.
2 – Parliamentary niche of the UDR group in the Assembly
The parliamentary niche of the UDR group, chaired by Éric Ciotti, will take place this Thursday, June 26, in the National Assembly. Several law proposals will be examined on this occasion. Éric Ciotti will carry a proposal for a resolution aimed at denouncing the Franco-Algerian agreements of 1968 and December 16, 2013.
Regarding law proposals, they will be multiple: a PPL aimed at protecting the effectiveness of the fundamental eligibility right, another aimed at recognizing certain pathologies as occupational diseases in firefighters, a aiming to establish a contribution of prisoners to the costs of imprisonment, another still aimed at establishing floors for crimes and crimes committed against members of the public and firefighters. A PPL aimed at relaunching the housing sector and one to revive a natalist policy will also be presented.
3 – Concert in tribute to the victims of the Nova festival in Tel Aviv
A concert in tribute to the victims of the Nova festival, who died in the terrorist attack on October 7, will take place this Thursday, June 26 at the Hayarkon Park in Tel Aviv, in Israel. The singer Yuval Raphael, who has survived the massacre, will perform on stage. She arrived in second position during Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland.
Titled “We will dance again – together”, The objective of the concert is to commemorate the memory of the victims. 4 – The third students pass the patent
As of this Thursday, June 26, as well as Friday 27, the French registered in the third class will finish the college after having spent their patent for two days. This is the first major examination facing the middle school students. In 2025, the note in the tests of these examinations will count for 60 % in obtaining the patent against 50 %, as announced by Gabriel Attal – then Minister of National Education – in December 2023.
This year, continuous control will represent 40 % of the final verdict and will be calculated from the average of the disciplinary notes allocated by teachers to students. Also in 2025, obtaining the patent will condition direct access to high school. The first day of the patent is devoted to the French and mathematics tests. The second day is dedicated to geography history and moral and civic education, sciences and foreign language.

The statue of the apostle with Saint-Paul swallow has regained its place on the base of the arrow of Notre-Dame de Paris this Monday, June 23. The fifteen other statues are still awaiting their turn and will be resettled in the coming days.
The sixteen copper statues, representing the twelve apostles and figures of the four evangelists (the lion, the eagle, the angel and the bull), had been deposited for catering only four days before the terrible fire which hit the cathedral in April 2019. The statue of 140 kg was deposited in the south-eastern corner of the arrow, more than forty meters.
