The last council of ministers before the summer break will take place this Wednesday, July 30. On the agenda, in particular: the draft constitutional reform on the autonomy of Corsica. Presented by the Minister of Regional Planning and Decentralization François Rebsamen, this text aims to grant the island of beauty a “Autonomy status within the Republic”. The project takes up the copy on which the Corsican Parliament agreed in 2024. To be adopted, this constitutional reform will have to go to the start of the school year by the National Assembly and the Senate, then by the vote of the three fifths of the members of the two chambers gathered in Congress.
The Council of Ministers will also examine the bill against dear life and insecurity overseas. The text, presented by the Minister of State Manuel Valls, aims to regulate the economies of ultramarine counter. EDF had recorded a record loss of 17.9 billion euros. Today, the company works to avoid such a crisis, while preparing the future with the construction of six new EPR 2 reactors.
